ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The Illinois Health and Human Services Review Board approves the construction of a new 70,000 square-foot SwedishAmerican clinic in Rockford.

The new clinic will be on Bell School Road near the SwedishAmerican Regional Cancer Center campus.

The clinic will be home to around 100 clinic rooms and 25 providers. It will house OB/GYN, pediatrics, family practice, internal medicine and endocrinology. There will also be ancillary services including lab and medical imaging.

The project will bring in 300 union labor construction jobs as well as permanent healthcare jobs.

The new clinic will cost $24 million dollars to build on six acres.
