Our roots in road building date back to the early 1930’s. Originally founded as A.J. Shanks & Sons, the company built roads using horse drawn equipment and steam engine technology. In the late 1940’s the company became D.E. Lynch Contractors and grew its scope of services to include underground utilities and structures.
We entered into material production with the purchase of our first hotmix asphalt plant in 1958 and have remained a HMA producer to this day. The company incorporated in 1979, changing its name to Iroquois Paving Corporation. We became a completely ESOP-owned organization in 2004.
Today, we continue to be a full-service, award-winning heavy highway contractor with asphalt production facilities located adjacent to I-57 in Gilman and Monee Illinois.
At Iroquois Paving, our approach to every project and every customer is simple – provide the highest level of construction services at competitive prices while abiding by a strict attention to detail, timeliness and a service-minded attitude. We achieve this by maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, honesty and fairness with our suppliers, subcontractors, professional associates and customers.
